4 Πορφυρ(ίῳ) καὶ Μά[ρ-]
κῳ ἀδελφ‹οῖ›ς
τοῖς ψηφ[ώ]σα-
σι[ν].
Lord Jesus Christ, remember your servants, the brothers Porphyrius and Marcus, who have made the mosaic.
The reading of ed. pr. must be corrected, based on the ph. in of ‘Emeq Ḥefer, which shows that the the upper right-hand sector of the medallion is broken and the ends of ll. 1–4 are missing
Ed. pr. Κ[ύριο]ς |μνησθῖ |δούλοίς | Πορφυρ(ίῳ) καὶ Μάρ‖κῳ ἀδελφ(ο)ὺς (sic) | τοῖς ψηφ[ίσμ]α|σι; Madden reads in L. 2 μνήσθητι, in L. 6 τοῖς ψηφ(οθέταις), and omits L. 7. L. 5 mosaic ἀδελφυς, phonetic spelling of the diphthong, common in the region in the Byzantine period.
