Physical description : 

Six-line inscription enclosed within a medallion in the mosaic carpet of the nave. Excavated by Shimon Dar and destroyed by the local inhabitants almost immediately after discovery (Applebaum – Isaac – Landau).

Text: 

       Μαρκι-

       ανοῦ τοῦ δ-

       ούλου σου ἐλέη-

4     σον εὐχ(ὴ) ε(ἰ)ς τ-

       οῦ ἁγίου Κυρι(α)-

       κός.

Translation: 

Have mercy on Thy servant Marcianus through the prayer of Saint Cyriacus.
