At the eastern end of the southern aisle. Found in situ.
A tombstone of grey marble, 74 cm long and 46 cm wide. The letters are 5 cm high. The script is elegant, with square characters, except for the drop-shaped omicron and theta. The text begins with a cross and ends with a symbol that has been interpreted as either a menorah or a palm branch, flanked by two crosses.

The blessed Germanus (son) of Alexander lived for 17 years and 7 months, and died unmarried in the month of Dios, the 9th, of the 14th indiction, year 445.

Year 445 of the Arabian era corresponds to AD 550/1; the 9th of Dios fell on the 26 October 550, in the 14th indiction.
