Discussion:
The site was suggested by its surveyors to have been a monastery. The suggestion was prompted by the location of a mosaic pavement containing crosses, the Greek letters alpha and omega and a Syriac inscription mentioning "Abraham". Although the find is suggestive, it is not enough to identify the site as a monastery with any certainty.
