The scant remains at the site, located one km from Jericho have been identified as a monastery. The site was tentatively named St. Andrew, based on a mosaic inscription mentioning Andrew. Augustinovitç identified the site as the "Church of the Gentiles" mentioned by John Moschus (Leimonarion CLIV.3021).

The remains of a mosaic pavement with geometric patterns and two inscriptions mark the location of the church. One inscription mentioned "Andrew" while the other is a burial inscription.

Burials: 

Only the inscription attests to the burial, apparently in the church.

A plastered reservoir nearby probably belonged to the monastery.
