Discussion:
The remains at the site of Kh. el Buyab are scant. The surveyors identified it as a small rural monastery based on the number of inscribed crosses found on lintels. These were found both at the site itself and on architectural elements found in secondary use in the nearby village and in the later date terraces in the vicinity.
