State of preservation/which parts were uncovered:
Two churches located within the ancient settlement have been suggested to have belonged to monasteries. Neither of these has been excavated. Of the northwestern church, identified by Mader as a monastery, no trace remains. In the central church, identified by Ovadia as belonging to a monastery, some remains were found although most of the structure was dismantled.
