Discussion:
The surveyors based their suggestion that the cave "Me'arat Kukhim" in the cliffs of Nahal Namer was used as a hermit dwelling on the signs of construction, Byzantine pottery and on the Arabic name, "Mugharat er Rahab" meaning the Cave of the Monk/Hermit. However, no actual Christian signs were found.
