Composition:
The Epanagia chapel mosaic have survived intact. This mosaic has a complex combination of squares and lozenges (each filled with different geometrical pattern) if seen in positive, while in negative they shape large scale crosses. In the centre wreath of flowers form a medallion with a Greek inscription ("Epanagia, I dedicated this mosaic..."). Second inscription framed within a simple square is situated in the eastern part of the chapel ("Lord Jesus Christ..."). The central panel is bordered by two strips, one composed of alternating squares and double meanders (variant of A19) and the other of a guilloche (B12).
