The nave floor was designed with a carpet (5 x 3.6 m) in red, black, yellow, pink and tones of gray and orange. The central panel has a double frame, the outer looks like a rope and the inner is wave-like. The main design includes six squares (1.4 sq m each) laid out in pairs. Each square includes a circle filled with a complex geometric pattern. The area between the circles and the squares was covered with either a triangle, square checkers, shell patterns, zigzag lines or schematic floral patterns. West of the carpet there is a Greek inscription reading: By the intercessions of the holy angle Michael your house stands. The Lord is the shepherd of Flavius Imerius and he will lack nothing.
