General description:
The hall held a partially preserved mosaic pavement consisting of medallions containing various motifs including animals and inanimate objects.
History:
The mosaic pavement and two Greek inscriptions were removed from the hall. It was discovered during the battle of Gaza on April 17th, 1917 by Australian soldiers.
It is dated to 561- 562 AD under the reign of the Eastern Roman Emperor Justinian.
