Unframed mosaic inscription (32 x 80 cm) traced in black and red tesserae. Round script, with letters 7-8 cm high. Text opens and closes with crosses. Horizonal stroke over nomen sacrum.

☩ Ἀγαπᾷ κ(ύριο)ς τὰς
πύλας Σιὸν ὑπὲ(ρ)
πάντα τὰ σκενό(μ)-
ατα Ἰακώβ. ☩
Translation:
The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.

σκενόματα for σκηνώματα. This quotation from Psalms is not common in the region. It appears at the entrance to the 8th-century church on the acropolis of Ma'in and in the Church of Bishop Sergius at Um er-Rasas (587 CE), both in Jordan.
