Text:
Τριάδος δόμος οὗτος ὃν ἠστήσαντο κομῆται
Ἑλλαδίου Γερράρων ἐπὶ χρόνοισι θωώκων,
καὶ Στεφάνου ἱερῆος ἅπας τετέλησται πόνοισι.
Translation:
This house of the Trinity, which the villagers raised at the time when Helladius held the see of Gerara, was all completed also by the efforts of the priest Stephanus.
Summary:
Monumental three-line mosaic building inscription written in faulty hexameters, within a tabula ansata in the floor of the baptistry chapel.
Despite the metrical errors, the inscription is written in hexameters.
