At the centre of the mosaic medallion in the northern aisle of the church.

Physical description : 

In each aisle of the church is a large, round medallion, 1.83 m in diameter, framed by rows of white and black tesserae. The southern aisle medallion was partly preserved, and is decorated with interlaced colorful bands. The medallion in the northern aisle consists of interlacing guilloches and ribbons creating eight conches and of a smaller, central medallion, 0.50 m in diameter. This medallion contains a six-line Greek inscription composed of black letters, 6 cm high, against a white background.

         όργι(ε), βοήθ(ει)

         Γεόργι(ο)ν τὸ-

4       ν πρεσβύ-

         τερον· ἀμ-

         [ή]ν, Κύρ(ιε).

Translation: 

O Saint George, help George the priest. Amen, o Lord.
