Location:
Inscribed on two ashlar stones of the eastern wall. The two stones belonged to the Constantinian basilica, were later used in the Arab tower built on the church’s apse, and are now used in the supporting wall in front of the Apsis. (CIIP)
Physical description :
Two ashlar stones. Mader gives a precise description of the letters and sees an inexperienced letter cutter at work. Both stones are very worn and were handled roughly at the edges.
Meas.: h 0.55, w >1 m; letters 12-17 cm.
