Physical description : 

The dedication of the esonarthex floor was inscribed in the centre of its eastern border; unfortunately, only fragments of two lines are extatn. The characters are 4-5 cm high.

[τῶν χ]ωρεπισκ(όπων) κ(αὶ) - -

ἐν μη(νὶ) Περιτίου - - -

Translation: 

[The work was completed in the days of ... ] the country bishops and ... in the month of Peritios ...

Commentary: 

Historical and archaeological arguments soundly support the dating of the inscription between 427 and 486. (see Di Segni for discussion.)
