[του ἡμῶν ἐπισκό]π̣ου ὁ εὐλαβέσ-
[(τατος) - - - πρεσβ(ύτερος)] ἐψήφωσεν δι-
[ὰ - - - οἰκο]νόμου ☩
Translation:
[Under X our] most holy [bishop (of Acco=Ptolemais)] the most pious [priest Y] paved (this place) with mosaic through [Z the ste]ward.
Summary:
Fragmentary Greek building inscription on one of the floors.
Hirschfeld (DOP 51 [1997] 46, n. 47) rejected the existence of a monastery here but the inscription certainly belongs to a cult building.
