Translation:
To the east of Bethany lies Saint Euthymius the great, and farther to the east, at a distance of about 12 miles, there is a church, where Adam sat and wept, in front of the Garden of Eden. Near this church there is Joachim’s house, (which is) a monastery; and to the east of this monastery, at a distance of about four miles, there is Jericho.
