Physical description :
Fragmentary two-line mosaic inscription in the northern transept, within a panel containing a vine tendril and framed by a decorative border. Square script, omegas, drop-shaped theta, similar to inscription no. 1. Diagonal stroke for abbreviation, ligatures of ΝΗ and ΟΥ, horizontal stroke over sacred name.

μνήσθ(ητ)ι Κ(ύρι)ε Σαούρου.
Translation:
In this holy place, remember, Lord, Saouros.

The phrase ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ is common at Hammat Gader. The present inscription has been restored accordingly. It is dated to the second half of the 6th cent. on paleographical grounds.
