General description

State of preservation/which parts were uncovered:

Column bases and cornice fragment were found in secondary use in a later construction. The village's mosque was apparently built over the byzantine church. A marble lintel with a damaged Greek cross enclosed in a tabula ansata was set above the mosque entrance. According to Magen (2012), these remains most probably belong to a Roman structure or a Samaritan synagogue, rather to a church.
