At the eastern end of the mosaic pavement of the southeastern room.

Physical description : 

Four-line inscription set in a tabula ansata (68 x 138 cm) traced in blue tesserae. Rows of red tesserae separate the lines of text. The characters, traced in blue tesserae, are neat and well-spaced and mainly belong to the Byzantine round alphabet, with the exception of the sigmas and some of the epsilons, which are square. Their shapes reflect a date not later than the first half of the 6th century. Abbreviations: a long horizonal stroke above the nomen sacrum and stigmas.

☩ Κ(ύρι)ε μνήσθι(τι) Λούκα

τοῦ πρεσβ(υτέρου) ὅτι

ἐκ τῶν καμάτων

ἀυτοῦ ἐψηφώθη.

Translation: 

Lord, remember Luke the priest, because (this room) was paved through his efforts.

Commentary: 

Only one phonetic spelling: μνήσθι(τι) for μνήσθη(τι).
