Physical description : 

One-line mosaic inscription, 130 cm long. Letters (8 cm high) traced in black tesserae on a white background; mainly oval script, but omega square and theta and omicron drop-shaped. Stigma for abbreviation.

Text: 

[Χ(ριστ)ὲ / Κ(ύρι)ε βο]ήθι Ἰωάννο(υ) διακ[ον]ο(υ).

Translation: 

Christ / Lord, help John the deacon.
