Discussion:
The site was described by Aviam and Ashkenazi as having been a monastery, based on a section of mosaic pavement, tiles and an oil press weight found in situ (Ashkenazi and Aviam 2013). However, in the salvage excavation conducted by Gur in 2014, these finds were not reported, perhaps having disappeared with the accelerated urban development of the town of Karmiel.
