Physical description :

Graffito, neither carved nor painted in capital letters, but rather incised, etched with a sharp tool, such as the point of a nail, on the white plaster covering the stone arch. Its reading is not easy, because the text is written in a cursive Greek of difficult paleography, and includes some orthographic and grammatical errors and a number of unusual personal names. (Figueras)

The last four lines, which are almost effaced, could have been written by another hand, but they start with the same appeal to the “Lord, God of Saint George” as the first part (Figueras).
