State of preservation/which parts were uncovered:
The site consists of a man made cave, hewn into a marl escarpment.
Cave/s:
The cave is rectangular (4.5 x 7 m; 2.2 m maximum hight) on a north-south axis. The ceiling is vaulted and the walls are covered with thick layers of grey plaster. The floor is levelled marl. The entrance is wide and no signs of a closing mechanism were found. Ten crosses were incised into the plaster, three of which are in the eastern wall, a large central cross and two smaller ones flanking it. A depression in the floor, facing the three crosses contained four lumps of salt- possibly votive offerings.
A small cell (1 x 1.3 m; 1.4 m high) also forms part of the cave. A small niche for holding a lamp was carved into the wall.
