Translation:
<After five years in the wilderness of Natoupha Cyriacus retired ‘to the inner desert of Ruba and spent five more years there: then he once more changed his abode and went to Sousakim.> ... After seven years spent in Sousakim, in the days of the great and awful plague, the fathers of the Laura of Souka, fearing the impending threat, unanimously went down to Sousakim with litanies and after many supplications, they brought him back to the Laura. Coming back to the Laura, Abba Cyriacus took up his abode in the hermitage of Saint Chariton (and stayed there) for five years, contending against the Origenists.
