Paragraph:
75
Translation:
When the imperial rescripts (of Justinian the Great, AD 531) had been published at Jerusalem, as has been said, our father Sabas, at the request of our archbishop and the other bishops, proceeded to Caesarea and Scythopolis to publish the same rescripts there as well. As he arrived at Scythopolis, as you know, the metropolitan Theodosius with all the people came out to meet him, including my father, who had authority in the episcopal palace at this time as the metropolitan’s assessor. When the imperial rescripts had been published, the great old man, taken into the episcopal palace, stayed in the church there of the holy martyr Procopius, having my father as constant companion.
