Translation: 

So (the blessed Eudocia) sent the hegumen of Saint Stephen, Gabriel, to great Euthymius, begging permission for her to come and have the benefit of his prayers and his teaching. But great Euthymius sent her this message: “Do not expect to ever see me again in the flesh. Besides, my child, why do you turn your mind to many matters? I believe that before winter you will migrate to God. - - - ”. Hearing this message, the blessed (Eudocia) was much grieved - - - . She went back to the holy city, sent for the archbishop and reported to him great Euthymius’ words, then arranged for the consecration of the church of Saint Stephen the First Martyr, though it was still unfinished, on June 15; she assigned a large income to this (church) and appointed Gabriel as chief of the whole administration.
