Translation:
She knelt down before the Cross and worshipped as if she could see the Lord hanging on it. On entering the tomb of the Resurrection, she kissed the stone which the angel removed from the sepulchre door <Matt. 28:2> and licked with her mouth, in her faith, the very shelf on which the Lord’s body had lain, as a thirsty man (would lap up) the longed-for waters. What tears, how many groans of pain did she utter (there), all Jerusalem is witness, and (so) is witness the Lord himself, whom she invoked.
