Paragraph:
44
Translation:

(1) - - - There is is always a vigil in the Anastasis from cock-crow. (2) At cock-crow on a Sunday the bishop reads the usual passage about the Lord's resurrection in the Anastasis, the normal Sunday passage, and then hymns and antiphons are said there. From cock-crow to daybreak on days other than Sunday they have only hymns and antiphons. (3) All the apotactites are present, and any of the people who can be there, and clergy take it in turn to be there at cock-crow. When it begins to get light, the bishop always comes with his clergy to give the morning dismissal, but he has to come at cock-crow on a Sunday to read the Gospel in the Anastasis. Similarly, they have the usual services at midday and three o'clock in the Anastasis, and Lucernare follows the order which is normal for the rest of the year. But on Wednesdays and Fridays it is the custom that the three o'clock service is always held on Sion.
