Translation:
NAZARETH AND ITS CHURCHES
(1) Like Capernaum, the city of Nazareth has no walls, as we are told by Arculf, who was entertained there. It is "set on a hill" <Matt. 5:14>, and has large stone buildings, including two very large churches. - - - (4) The other church has been built on the site of the house in which the archangel Gabriel came to Blessed Mary, and spoke to her there, finding her alone.
