Translation:
MOUNT TABOR
Mount Tabor is in the middle of the country of Galilee, and three miles to the north of the the Sea of Kinnereth. It is totally round, with grass and flowers, and is thirty stades high. There is a stretch of very beautiful countryside on its summit stretching out over an area of twenty-three stades. A great monastery is there surrounded by a great wood. It has three churches, according to Peter's saying, "Let us make here three tabernacles" <Luke 9:33>. The site, surrounded by a wall, supports great buildings.
