Paragraph:
16
Translation:
From (the church of the Ascension) we went on southwards to Bethany, descending from the Mount of Olives for a mile. In the monastery church there is the Tomb of Lazarus, and nearby, to the north, is the pool in which the Lord told Lazarus to wash after he had been brought to life again. People say that afterwards he was bishop of Ephesus for forty years.
