Bethlehem - The Nativity: Justinian church

Translation: 

(1) - - - In the eastern corner (of Bethlehem) there is a cave which might be natural. Its outer part is said to have been the birthplace of the Lord, and its inside is called the Manger. The inside of this whole cave is covered with precious marble and is over the exact place where Christ was born, and it sustains the large church of Saint Mary. - - - (2) - - -  And to the south (of Bethlehem) in a nearby valley is the Tomb of Saint Jerome.
