Paragraph:

Translation:
<In 478 AD Sabas settled in a cave, which was to be the core of the Great Laura.> Then our father Sabas came to live in said cave: because of the difficulty of climbing up, he hung a rope near the mouth (of the cave) and would ascend and descend by it. He got the water (he needed) from a cistern called Heptastomos <‘seven mouths’> at a distance of about 15 stadia.
