Translation:
To the east of Jericho, at a distance of about eight miles, flows the Jordan. Here there is a small castrum <fortified enclosure or building for a coenobium or as centre of a laura, with service rooms. church, etc.> with a great church inside, (called) the Holy Trinity. And on the bank of the river there is the church of the Precursor: and in the apse of the church stands the stone on which stood the Precursor when he baptised Christ.
