Maresha - Church

General description: 

This basilica measuring (9.6 x 9.9 m) was paved with mosaics in the nave and aisles. A colorful carpet in the nave and several panels in the aisles. There is a Greek inscription west of the nave dedicating the church to the angel Michael. 

History: 

The mosaics show damage in the form of debris and charcoal suffered during the destruction of the church. Leah Di Segni dates the destruction to the early 7th century.
