General description:
Well preserved mosaics in the nave and south side of the church. The design is simple in nature, with geometric patterns in a limited range of colors.
Five Greek inscriptions are inset in the mosaic floor.
History:
The structure is considered one of the best preserved Byzantine churches in the northern region. The church is dated to 519 C.E based on the finds.
The apse mosaic was damaged by intruders in the Turkish period.
