635 Ḥorvat Hesheq ST. GEORGE Western Galilee Apsidal chapel This apsidal chapel with a roof retained by lateral arches (remains of three were exposed), was uncovered only in the 2017 excavations. Its western part is poorly preserved. 1
11979 Ḥorvat Karkur ‘Illit Church North-Western Negev Quadrangular chapel The chapel is located in the western room of the northern lateral wing. It measures 12.35 X 4.5 m. The eastern part of the chapel (the chancel area) is separated from the rest of the hall by a stylobate that might have supported an arch. The chapel's hall and chancel are paved with a mosaic floors with geometric patterns. The chapel has two entrances; one leading from the narthex and is 0.9 m wide; the other connecting the chapel with the northern aisle and is 1.1 m wide. 15202 Ḥorvat Kenes Northern Church Western Galilee Quadrangular chapel On the north a mosaic paved rectangular hall mosaic paved with floral motives was attached in the second phase, serving, so it seems, as a prothesis chapel. A trough tomb was cut through the mosaic floor in some later time next to its northern wall, somewhat to the west of the hall. Apsidal chapel A baptismal chapel with a cruciform baptismal font in its apse was attached on the south in the second phase, and to its west two more rooms, one paved with mosaic vine trellis. The arrangement resembles that of the southern annex in Kursi. Quadrangular chapel A rectangular room on the north of the narthex contained a simple cist tomb under its mosaic floor. A second tomb was uncovered in the southern portico of the atrium. A drill cut through one of its covering stones, enabled pouring of oil. A third, simple cist tomb was cut in a later stage in the prothesis chapel on the north. 1

13533 Horvat Qasra Cave Chapel Shephelah Simple rectangular room The room is entered from room IV. The roof is pediment shaped. A long narrow shelf is carved into the north wall, with a small niche above it. The wall is covered in soot, indicating oil lamps were placed there. In the southern part of the eastern wall an apse like niche was carved, with a shelf in its base. in a later period, the northern part of the eastern wall was carved, evident by the lesser amount of soot. dimensions: 2.7X2.5 m. 1
13128 Ḥorvat Qav North Church Western Galilee A small chapel. Quadrangular chapel A church with an atrium was located to the south of the monastery, serving as a parochial church. A quadrangular room (5 x 3 m in dimensions) was annexed to the church on the north. A round baptismal font was uncovered in its eastern part and the floor was paved in a colorful mosaic floor with floral and geometric patterns. 1
