The opening in the southern aisle, near its SW corner and its sill indicate that the door was opened to the southern annex. Hence this was not a southern courtyard, as was assumed by Ilan. The elongated quadrangular annex extended to the entire length of the church, but its southern wall ran askew to the line of the southern wall of the church. No installations were recognized inside. |
