Under the northerrn courtyard the burial complex was located, to which three entrances were leading. Near the entrances the installation for collecting water from the roof was located. This burial complex was used for the most important dwellers of the monastery. The tombs were decorated with painted and carved cross, lately defaced. In some tombs the bones were found, including the bones of the child. In the last days of the excavations the entrance to the eastern burial complex was revealed (Fig. 15). Not fully excavated. The remains of the leather footwear were found in one of the rooms (Sukenk 2017) and the iron cross identified as Mediterranean cypress. Plenty of human remains. |

A depression preserved in the apse suggest that a reliquary was placed there. A marble, sarcophagus-like reliquary was uncovered in the casemate wall to the NW, covered by a heap of stone. Seemingly it was hidden there by one of the monk before the site was abandoned. |

indications on the floor |
The existence of the synthronon is indicated by rectangular sockets on the limestone paving slabs of the apse. The graded benches of the synthronon were apparently made of wood, since the remains of Lebanese cedar and a large number of nails were found in the vicinity of the apse. |
N & S |
The northern pastophorium measures 4 X 3.1 m. The floor is completely destroyed, probably by the Ottoman activity at the site. The room was lockable, since the northern doorpost stones survived in place. |
The southern pastophorium (called by the excavator "diaconicon") measures 3.35 X 3.1 m. The entrance to this room is 1.25 m wide. The room is paved with colored mosaic floor with floral and geometric patterns. |

The baptismal font is located at the center of the bema of the baptismal chapel annexed to the basilica from north. The font structure was changed during the time. At the beginning it was horseshoe shaped both from exterior and interior (type 3a). It was built of cement and small stones and faced with marble. Later on, a monolithic font, octagonal on the outside (0.85 m in diameter) and circular on the inside (0.65 m in diameter) (type 7c), was placed inside the original font. The height of the font in both periods was about 0.4 m above the floor. |
